Riverside edge
A river runs along the town and draws the one flowing line in a map otherwise made of short, angular lanes. It gives the composition a soft border on one side.

Rānpur Map Poster & Print
Rānpur is a town in Botad district in Gujarat, on the Saurashtra peninsula. Seen from above, it is a close knot of old lanes by a river. Newer streets spread out from that knot across very flat land, and the surrounding countryside is divided into cultivated fields crossed by village roads.
The town has a place in Gujarati literary history. The poet and writer Jhaverchand Meghani was closely associated with Rānpur, where he worked on the Saurashtra newspaper during the independence era. On the map, that history sits within an ordinary market town with a railway, a main road and irregular old blocks.
A Rānpur map poster brings out the contrast between the tightly packed centre and the open plain around it. The river gives the composition a natural curve. The lanes of the old town form a dense texture that holds up well in black and white, even at the smaller print sizes.

Old town lanes
The oldest part of Rānpur is a dense tangle of narrow streets. In print it looks like a darker patch of fine detail in the middle of the sheet.
Saurashtra plain
Around the town, the land is almost completely flat. Straight field boundaries and village tracks create a light grid that frames the settlement without competing with it.

Pourquoi Rānpur
Une carte qui a du sens
Rānpur carries meaning for families from Botad district and for readers who know it through Jhaverchand Meghani. A framed map of the town is a modest, lasting way to keep that connection visible at home.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can be personalised with a family name, a date or a line in Gujarati transliteration. The poster is available in five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand.
