Rolândia Map Poster & Print
Rolândia is a town in northern Paraná, a short distance west of Londrina. It grew in the 1930s as part of the settlement of the region, when land companies cleared the forest for coffee farms. They laid out new towns along the railway and on the high ground between river valleys. From above, the town still shows that origin in its regular grid of streets and wide avenues.
Many of the first settlers came from Germany. The town takes its name from the Roland statue of Bremen, a medieval symbol of civic rights. The surrounding countryside is covered in the deep red soil northern Paraná is known for. Today that land grows mainly soybeans, maize and other crops, with patches of forest along the streams.
A Rolândia map poster presents a compact, orderly town with clear edges, where the street grid gives way to open fields. The Paper and Sand styles suit its rural setting. Classic black & white brings out the precision of the plan drawn up for it almost a century ago.

Higher-ground setting
The town sits on the higher ground the region's planners preferred. Stream valleys drop away around it, and the main roads lead toward neighbouring towns.
Red-earth farmland
Large, regular fields of the region's red soil surround the town, giving the poster wide margins and a clear contrast with the built-up centre.
