Market road core
The densest streets gather along the town's main road. On the map this appears as a darker spine with short lanes branching off on both sides.

La carte
Sayan Map Poster & Print
Sayan lies in the Olpad area of Surat district in southern Gujarat, on the broad, low plain that runs toward the Arabian Sea. The map shows a compact town rather than a planned one: a main road with a thicker cluster of streets around it, then lanes that thin out quickly into fields. There are no hills to work around, so the pattern is set by roads, farm boundaries and the railway.
This is sugarcane country, and the town is known locally for its cooperative sugar industry. From above, that farming economy shows in the long field edges, small canals and access tracks that run out from the built-up area. The settlement blends into its surroundings instead of ending at a sharp line, and neighbouring villages sit close enough to appear on the same sheet.
A Sayan map poster suits anyone with family roots in this corner of Gujarat, or anyone who remembers the road north out of Surat. Printed in black and white, the plain turns into a calm field of fine lines, with the town's denser centre as the clear focus. It is a modest map, but it is an accurate picture of how the place sits in its land.

Farmland edges
Beyond the centre, the lanes open into cultivated land. Long, straight field boundaries and tracks give the edges of the poster a quiet, ruled texture.
Flat coastal plain
With no slopes to follow, the streets run fairly directly between destinations. The result is an open, even layout typical of the plain around Surat.

Pourquoi Sayan
Une carte qui a du sens
For many people Sayan is a home town, a grandparents' village or a stop on the way to Surat. A map of it is a personal thing, less about famous sights and more about the streets someone actually walked.
Add a family name, a year or the coordinates of a house to the title and subtitle, then pick one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. It comes as $9 HD files or as a matte print.
