Shagamu Map Poster & Print
Shagamu, often written Sagamu, is a town in Ogun State in southwestern Nigeria and the traditional centre of the Remo people. On the map it combines two patterns: an older core of irregular streets and compounds that grew from several neighbouring settlements, and newer, more regular blocks extending outward along the main roads. The palace of the Akarigbo, the paramount ruler, stands in the older part.
Its position is its most familiar feature for many Nigerians. The Lagos–Ibadan Expressway passes the town, and the interchange here is one of the busiest junctions in the region, linking routes toward Lagos, Ibadan and the east. The large looping ramps give the map a strong geometric shape against the finer texture of the neighbourhoods.
Shagamu has long been known as a centre of the kola nut trade, and the surrounding land still shows farm plots and patches of forest between settlements. A Shagamu map poster gives a quiet portrait of a town defined by roads, markets and a long line of traditional authority.

Historic core
The older part of town, around the palace of the Akarigbo, is a network of short, winding streets that reflect its growth from earlier settlements.
Surrounding farmland
Beyond the built area, fields and forest patches break into irregular shapes, softening the map's edges and hinting at the kola-growing country around the town.

Pourquoi Shagamu
Une carte qui a du sens
For Remo sons and daughters at home or abroad, a map of Shagamu is a way to keep the town present, with the palace, the market streets and the familiar road out of town all held in one frame.
Add a family name, a wedding date or a short phrase to the title and subtitle, and pick from five styles. Classic black and white keeps it crisp, while Sand or Paper feel warmer in a living room.
