Bhavani River
The river runs as a wide, curving band past the town. It is the strongest element on the poster and explains why the settlement grew where it did.

Sirumugai Map Poster & Print
Sirumugai is a town in Coimbatore district, Tamil Nadu, not far from Mettupalayam and the foothills of the Nilgiri Hills. It lies along the Bhavani River, and it is best known in Tamil Nadu for its handloom weaving. Sirumugai silk saris are a recognised name in the regional textile trade.
On the map, the Bhavani is the defining line. It runs in a broad curve past the town, and the streets gather on its bank, following the direction of the water. The main road runs through the town, and the smaller residential lanes of weavers' streets branch off in a close, irregular network.
A Sirumugai map poster places the river at the centre of the composition, with the town set along it and farmland and the rising ground toward the hills beyond. It is a clear, calm portrait of a small place with a strong craft identity.

Weavers' streets
Close networks of narrow residential lanes fill the town. They are home to the households that have kept Sirumugai's handloom tradition going.
Toward the hills
Beyond the fields, the land rises toward the Nilgiris. On the map this appears as open space and winding roads leading away from the river plain.
