Sivakasi Map Poster & Print
Sivakasi lies in Virudhunagar district in southern Tamil Nadu, on flat, dry plains east of the Western Ghats. From above, the town forms a dense core of narrow streets. Around it is a loose ring of industrial units and open plots, with roads leading to neighbouring towns. Irrigation tanks dot the land around it and hold water in a region with limited rainfall.
The town is known across India as the country's main centre for fireworks and safety matches, and it also has a large printing industry producing calendars, labels and books. This enterprise earned it the nickname Little Japan, often credited to Jawaharlal Nehru. Much of the local economy follows the rhythm of the festival season, especially the months before Diwali.
A Sivakasi map poster shows a working town laid out around its industries. The tight grid of the centre, the scattered factory compounds outside it and the roads fanning across the plain make a clear, balanced pattern. For families connected to the fireworks, match or printing trades, it is an understated way to keep the town on the wall with pride.

Factory compounds
Beyond the centre, walled fireworks and match units spread across open land. On the map they appear as scattered clusters with empty space kept around them for safety.
Tanks on the plain
Irrigation tanks and small reservoirs show up as rounded shapes around the town. They are a typical feature of the dry countryside of southern Tamil Nadu.
