Sochi Map Poster & Print
Sochi is one of the longest cities in Europe, stretching roughly 145 kilometres along the Black Sea coast. On a map it reads as a narrow ribbon: a coastal road and railway running close to the shore, with neighbourhoods climbing short distances up steep, forested valleys before the terrain becomes too rugged to build on.
Central Sochi gathers around the mouth of the Sochi River, with the seaport, the promenade and the park-lined streets of the resort era. Further south, the Mzymta River reaches the sea at Adler, where the Olympic Park was built for the 2014 Winter Games, and a road and rail line follow the valley inland to the ski slopes at Krasnaya Polyana.
A Sochi map poster centred on the old resort core captures the tension between sea and slope: a straight coastline on one side, winding roads and switchbacks on the other. Sanatoriums, parks and gardens leave pale patches in the street network, a reminder that the city was planned around health resorts long before it became an Olympic host.

Sochi River mouth
The river meets the sea in the centre of the city, dividing districts and giving the old resort quarter its natural focal point.
Valley roads
Streets twist up the hillsides in short, tight curves, a clear contrast to the orderly lines along the shore.

Pourquoi Sochi
Une carte qui a du sens
Sochi is where many people spent holidays by the sea or watched the 2014 Games. A clean black-and-white map keeps the place as a line of coast and a fold of hills, without postcard colours.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can mark a summer, a wedding or a family trip. Pick Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, and order a matte print, framed if you like, or download the files for $9.
