Stony Plain Map Poster & Print
Stony Plain is a town in Parkland County, Alberta, just west of Edmonton and next to Spruce Grove. It grew as a farming and railway community and still sits on open prairie, with farmland on all sides. On a map its older core is a compact grid of streets. Newer neighbourhoods curve outward in the pattern familiar across western Canada.
Highway 16A runs along the north side of town, a straight east-west line that ties Stony Plain to the city. A railway line passes through as well. Small lakes, ponds and wetlands around the outskirts break up the rural grid. The town is also known for its outdoor murals, which depict local history on the walls of downtown buildings.
A Stony Plain map poster brings the town's order and openness onto a single sheet: highway, rail, grid and prairie. It suits long-time residents, people who live there and commute to Edmonton, and anyone who grew up in Parkland County. The straightforward layout looks especially good in the lighter Paper and Sand styles.

Downtown grid
The historic centre follows a tidy grid of blocks and is home to the murals the town is known for. It is the densest part of the poster.
Prairie edges
Fields, section roads and small wetlands surround the town. The rural survey grid carries the map's rhythm far beyond the built-up area.
