Euphrates meanders
The river loops through the frame in broad bends, with side channels and islands. On the poster it is the strongest and most organic line, running against the straighter road.

Subaykhān Map Poster & Print
Subaykhān sits in the Euphrates valley in Deir ez-Zor province, where the whole pattern of settlement follows the river. From above, the town is a strip of houses and lanes lying along a road that runs parallel to the water, between cultivated plots near the bank and bare ground rising toward the steppe.
The Euphrates itself is the defining shape. It winds through the valley in wide loops, with channels, sandbars and small islands that change the texture of the map. On the far side the same pattern repeats: a thin cultivated margin, then emptiness. Few landscapes show this clearly how a river decides where people can live.
A Subaykhān map poster turns this into a simple composition. Dark river curves are traced by the pale band of fields, and the town's short streets run close to the road. The desert beyond is left almost blank. The result reads less like a street plan and more like a portrait of a valley.

Valley road
A main road follows the river along the valley, and the town's houses and lanes cluster close to it. It forms a long, linear settlement rather than a round centre.
Edge of the steppe
Just beyond the farmed strip the map goes quiet. That sharp change from fields to open land gives the composition its clarity.

Pourquoi Subaykhān
Une carte qui a du sens
People from the Euphrates valley often live far from it now. A map of Subaykhān keeps the river, the road and the home streets in view, without depending on photographs that may no longer match how the place looks today.
You can personalise the title, the subtitle and the coordinates line with a family name, a date or a few words in any wording you like. Choose from five styles. Noir gives the river a strong presence, and Paper keeps it soft and understated.
