Perak River bend
The river loops sharply around the old town, almost enclosing it on three sides. This bend is the defining feature of the map and gives the centre an unmistakable outline.

Teluk Intan Map Poster & Print
Teluk Intan lies in the lower Perak River valley, where the river makes a sharp loop on its way to the Strait of Malacca. From above, the old town fills the land inside this bend. It forms a compact grid of shophouse streets, and newer housing extends out along the roads that leave the loop toward the coast and inland.
The town was called Teluk Anson under British rule and grew as a river port for the tin and agricultural trade of lower Perak. Its best-known landmark is the leaning tower of Teluk Intan. It was built in the 1880s as a water tower with a clock and tilted over time as the soft ground settled beneath it.
A Teluk Intan map poster is shaped by the curve of the river. The water wraps around the old centre and sets its grid inside a clear natural frame. The surrounding plantations and flat land leave calm, open space around the town.

Shophouse grid
The historic core is a regular grid of streets lined with shophouses. It shows as a neat, compact pattern inside the loop of the river.
