The Wang River
The river curves through the valley past the town. It gives the map a flowing line that contrasts with the straighter roads and field edges around it.

La carte
Thoen Map Poster & Print
Thoen is the southernmost district of Lampang province in northern Thailand. Its town sits in the valley of the Wang River, which flows south here toward Tak. From above, the settlement follows the river and the main north–south highway. The streets are compact and practical, laid out in a narrow band. Rice fields fill the flat valley floor.
On either side, the ground rises into forested hills, and the map shows the change sharply. Roads end or start to wind as soon as the terrain gets steep. Because Thoen is on the main route between central Thailand and the north, many travellers know it as a stop on a long drive. Its plan still has the scale of a small riverside town.
A Thoen map poster pairs two long lines, the river and the highway, with the scattered pattern of the valley settlement between them. It is a simple, well-balanced image, and it works nicely in the Sand or Paper styles, whose soft tones echo the landscape.

Highway corridor
The main road linking central and northern Thailand passes through Thoen. It sets a strong north–south axis that the town has grown along.
Valley and hills
Flat farmland on the valley floor quickly meets forested slopes. On the map the street pattern thins out, leaving large quiet areas at the edges.
