Tupungato Map Poster & Print
Tupungato lies in the Uco Valley in Argentina's Mendoza province, one of the country's best-known high-altitude wine areas. It takes its name from the Tupungato volcano, a peak of more than six thousand metres on the Andean ridge to the west. The town is compact, with an ordinary grid of streets centred on a main square, as in many Argentine provincial towns.
The surroundings are the most striking part of the map. Snowmelt from the Andes reaches the valley through a network of irrigation channels. Those channels, together with the long straight lines of farm plots and vineyard rows, create a fine pattern of parallel strokes around the town. Roads leading west run toward the mountains, where cultivated land gives way to dry foothills.
A Tupungato map poster places a small grid town inside a large agricultural landscape shaped by water and altitude. It suits winemakers and wine lovers, travellers who have visited the Uco Valley, and anyone with family ties to the region. In black and white, the town, the fields and the channels form a quiet, well-balanced composition.

Irrigation channels

Toward the Andes
West of town, roads and plots run toward the foothills below the Tupungato volcano, which gave the town its name.

Pourquoi Tupungato
Une carte qui a du sens
A map of Tupungato is a good reminder of a trip through the Uco Valley, a harvest season or a family property among the vines. The clean lines of the fields and channels give the poster a graphic quality that works in kitchens, dining rooms and tasting rooms.
You can personalise it with your own title, subtitle and coordinates, such as a vineyard name or a vintage year. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Download the $9 HD files in six sizes, or order a printed poster with an optional wooden frame.
