Streets on slopes
Roads in town curve around the hills rather than following a grid. They give the urban area a soft, irregular pattern on the poster.

Turmalina Map Poster & Print
Turmalina is in northeastern Minas Gerais, in the Jequitinhonha Valley, a region of dry uplands and deep river valleys. The town sits on uneven ground, and its streets bend to follow the slopes instead of forming a strict grid. From above the built area has a flowing, slightly irregular outline, with roads climbing out to the plateau country around it.
The name comes from tourmaline, the gemstone found in the region, and mineral heritage is part of local identity. The surrounding uplands are covered in large part by eucalyptus plantations, which appear on the map as broad regular blocks cut by straight access tracks. Streams and small rivers cut down into the valleys between them.
A Turmalina map poster brings together the organic street layout of a hill town with the more geometric pattern of plantation land around it. It is a map of an interior Minas town, shaped by topography and by the forestry and farming economy of the valley. The result is a quiet, layered image.

Plantation uplands
Large eucalyptus stands cover the surrounding plateau in regular blocks with straight tracks. They add a clear geometric texture around the town.
Valley streams
Small watercourses run through the lower ground between the hills. They mark the natural lines that shaped where the town could grow.
