Urmar Map Poster & Print
Urmar lies in the Hoshiarpur district of Punjab, in the Doaba region between the Beas and Sutlej rivers. It forms a joint urban area with the neighbouring town of Tanda, and the two are often named together as Urmar Tanda. The surrounding plain is flat and intensively farmed, crossed by canals, rail and the roads linking it with Hoshiarpur and Jalandhar.
The older part of town has a dense web of narrow lanes, the kind of irregular pattern that grew before modern planning, while newer neighbourhoods spread outward along wider and straighter roads. Beyond them, the land is divided into a fine grid of fields, with farm tracks and irrigation channels running between them.
Doaba is known for its strong ties with the Punjabi diaspora, and many families from this area have relatives in Canada, the United Kingdom and elsewhere. An Urmar map poster connects those two worlds, giving a clear picture of the old lanes, the growing edges and the fields that surround them, drawn in a quiet minimalist style.

Twin town layout
Urmar and Tanda sit close together and function as one urban area, so the map shows two connected centers rather than a single one.
Doaba farmland
Flat, irrigated fields surround the town in a fine rectangular pattern, cut by farm tracks and channels that give the edges of the map structure.
