Suburban grid
Long, narrow residential blocks repeat across the area in steady rows. On the poster they create a fine, even texture that is typical of the postwar San Gabriel Valley.

La carte
Vincent Map Poster & Print
This Vincent is in the eastern San Gabriel Valley in Los Angeles County, an unincorporated area surrounded by incorporated cities such as Covina, West Covina and Baldwin Park. Because of this, its outline on a map follows old boundary lines instead of natural features. It looks like a piece cut from a larger suburban quilt.
Inside, the pattern is the regular valley grid: long residential blocks of single-family lots, crossed by arterial streets with shops and services. Flood-control channels, which drain water from the San Gabriel Mountains to the north, cut through the region in straight concrete lines. They are among the few diagonals in an otherwise right-angled plan.
A Vincent map poster shows the neighbourhood the way residents know it, as a place of blocks and boulevards that continues seamlessly into the towns next door. The dense, even texture fills the sheet from edge to edge. It suits a style like Blueprint or Classic black & white, where a close grid looks crisp and orderly.

Arterial streets
Wider through streets divide the grid into larger squares and carry most of the traffic. They form the main frame of the composition and link Vincent to the surrounding cities.
Flood channels
Engineered washes carry mountain runoff across the valley in straight lines. On the map they appear as clean strokes that cut across the block pattern at an angle.

Pourquoi Vincent
Une carte qui a du sens
Many people describe where they live in the San Gabriel Valley by the nearest city, but those who grew up here know the smaller names. This map gives that specific pocket of streets its own frame, whether for a first home or a childhood address.
The title, subtitle and coordinates can all be personalised, for example with a street name or a date. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Download 300 DPI files for $9, or order a matte print with an optional wooden frame.
