Hill-following streets
Roads in Voinjama curve with the rolling ground instead of meeting at right angles. They create an irregular web that looks natural and unforced on the map.

Voinjama Map Poster & Print
Voinjama is the capital of Lofa County, in the far north of Liberia, close to the borders with Guinea and Sierra Leone. The town sits in hilly, green country where forest and farmland alternate. From above, its streets do not form a strict grid. They follow the terrain in loose curves and gather around a central area that serves as the county's administrative and market hub.
The town lies on routes that have long connected northern Liberia with its neighbours, and it has played a part in regional trade. Like much of Lofa County, it went through hard years during Liberia's civil conflicts and has been rebuilding since.
A Voinjama map poster reflects a town shaped by land rather than by a surveyor's plan. The roads bend around slopes and branch into smaller tracks, and they thin out quickly into the surrounding green. In a monochrome print, this organic pattern gives the sheet a hand-drawn quality that sets it apart from gridded cities.

County centre
As the seat of Lofa County, the town has a central cluster of denser streets where administration and trade concentrate. More scattered settlement spreads out from it.
Borderland routes
Roads leading out of town head toward the country's northern frontiers. They reach into the surrounding forest as long lines that frame the settlement at the heart of the print.
