The canal
A straight canal of the Danube–Tisa–Danube network crosses the town. It divides Vrbas into two halves linked by bridges and gives the poster a clear axis.

Vrbas Map Poster & Print
Vrbas lies in the Bačka region of Vojvodina in northern Serbia, on the flat farmland of the Pannonian plain. Like many towns in the region, it was shaped by eighteenth-century settlement under Habsburg rule, and its street plan shows it. Long straight streets, rectangular blocks and wide crossings are all laid out on land flat enough for a clean geometry.
A canal of the Danube–Tisa–Danube system runs through the middle of town and divides Vrbas into two parts joined by bridges. On the map it is the defining feature, a calm, ruler-straight band of water that the streets meet at right angles. Industrial sites, many of them food processing plants, sit along the edges, and fields begin right after the last streets.
The surrounding landscape is some of the most productive farmland in Serbia, cut into long strips of wheat, maize and sunflower. A Vrbas map poster captures the precision of the Vojvodina grid in miniature, with the canal as a single decisive stroke across the page. Reduced to lines, the town looks surprisingly architectural.

Vojvodina grid
Long parallel streets and rectangular blocks make an ordered pattern, typical of the planned settlement towns of Bačka on the open plain.
Field-strip horizon
Beyond the town, farm roads divide the plain into long, narrow plots, carrying the grid's geometry out to the edge of the frame.
