The old town
The historic centre forms a dense, clearly bounded block of streets and squares. On the poster it stands out as the most detailed part, like a small stamp at the heart of the map.

La carte
Wangen Map Poster & Print
Wangen im Allgäu lies in the far south-east of Baden-Württemberg, close to the Bavarian border and not far from Lake Constance. Its core is a compact historic town that grew as an imperial free city. On a map the old town shows as a tight, almost rectangular knot of streets. Newer districts spread around it in looser curves.
Two surviving city gates anchor the historic centre: the Ravensburger Tor and the Lindauer Tor, also known as the Martinstor. Streets run between them and open into small squares lined with painted facades. The river Argen flows past the edge of town, adding a soft, curving line of water to the drawing.
Around Wangen the Allgäu landscape takes over, with dairy farms, rolling hills and scattered villages linked by winding country roads. A Wangen map poster captures that balance. It shows a finely detailed medieval core set within a quiet green countryside of the far south of Germany.

Two city gates
The Ravensburger Tor and the Lindauer Tor mark the old routes out of town toward the neighbouring cities. The main streets line up between them across the centre.
River Argen
The Argen flows along the edge of Wangen. It is a gentle curving line that separates the town from the meadows and gives the composition a natural boundary.
