La carte
Wani Map Poster & Print
Wani lies in Yavatmal district, in the Vidarbha region of eastern Maharashtra. On a map, the town is a compact cluster of lanes and market streets, with a railway line and main roads passing through and setting its overall direction. Around the built-up centre the pattern thins quickly into open land, village roads and the large, irregular outlines of industrial sites.
The area is known for its coal: several mines operate in the surrounding coalfield, and the industry has long shaped local employment and the landscape beyond town. Wani also serves as a trading centre for farmers in the surrounding villages, where cotton is an important crop, as it is across much of Vidarbha.
A Wani map poster records a working town rather than a tourist destination. The dense centre, the straight lines of rail and highway, and the scattered shapes at the edges together give a clear sense of how the place connects to the land and industry around it, which is often exactly what people who come from here remember.

Rail line
The railway passes through Wani in a long, steady line, linking the town with the wider network and giving the composition a strong directional axis.
Industrial edges
Beyond the residential streets, larger irregular shapes and service roads mark mining and industrial land, contrasting with the fine grain of the old town.
