La carte
Warud Map Poster & Print
Warud sits in Amravati district in the Vidarbha region of Maharashtra, close to the border with Madhya Pradesh. From above it is a tight core of lanes and markets with roads running out in several directions across flat and gently rolling farmland, linking it to the villages around it and to larger towns further along.
The area is known for its oranges. Warud is often described as one of the centres of the Vidarbha orange belt, and the land around the town is divided into orchards and cultivated plots. On a detailed map that shows up as a patchwork of field boundaries and farm tracks pressing right up against the edges of the built-up area.
A Warud map poster is a picture of an agricultural town at human scale: a few main roads, a dense centre where trade happens, and a quick transition into open country. Drawn in fine black lines, the contrast between the knotted centre and the looser pattern outside it gives the print its character.

Radiating roads
Main roads leave the centre in several directions toward neighbouring villages and towns, forming a loose star that gives the map its basic structure.
Orchard country
Beyond the last houses, farm tracks and plot boundaries take over, reflecting the orange orchards and fields the region is known for across Vidarbha.
