Plain-country grid
Roads and field boundaries run in long, straight lines at right angles. The resulting pattern is calm and very regular, well suited to a minimalist print.

La carte
Wayao Map Poster & Print
Wayao is a town in the north of Jiangsu Province, in the Xuzhou area, on the flat, low plain that stretches between the Yellow River's old course and the Huai River basin. From above, the landscape is highly organised: straight roads, drainage channels and field edges divide the land into long rectangles, with villages set at regular intervals.
The town itself is a denser cluster in that pattern. A main street carries most of the commercial activity, with residential blocks and newer, larger-scale developments around it. Because the terrain is so flat, water is the main source of variation on the map, from canals and ditches to small ponds scattered between the fields.
A Wayao map poster suits people with family or work ties to this part of northern Jiangsu. It is a quiet, geometric print. From a distance it looks almost abstract, and up close you can pick out the roads and channels that organise daily life on the plain.
