The Rhine
The river runs along the town's eastern side in a wide, smooth curve, giving the poster its strongest shape and a clear sense of direction.

La carte
Wesseling Map Poster & Print
Wesseling lies on the left bank of the Rhine in North Rhine-Westphalia, between Cologne to the north and Bonn to the south. On a map the river is the dominant feature, a wide band sweeping past the town's eastern edge. The settlement stretches along it, with residential streets set back from the water and larger industrial sites occupying long parcels near the bank.
The town is known for its chemical and petrochemical industry, including a large refinery complex, and those plants appear on the map as broad blocks with internal roads and rail sidings. Their scale contrasts with the fine grain of the residential neighbourhoods, which cluster around older village centres absorbed as the town grew.
A Wesseling map poster shows a place shaped by its position on Europe's busiest river. Rail lines and motorways run parallel to the Rhine, tying the town into the Cologne–Bonn corridor. The result is a layered, linear composition that feels distinctly Rhenish.

Pourquoi Wesseling
Une carte qui a du sens
Residents, people who commute along the Rhine, and those who grew up in the town's neighbourhoods will recognise the pattern immediately. The river gives the map a composition that works well above a desk or sofa.
Set your own title, subtitle and coordinates line, or add a date such as a move or wedding, and choose one of five styles: Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Noir suits the industrial character.
