Wūdān Map Poster & Print
Wūdān is the administrative seat of Ongniud Banner, part of Chifeng in the east of Inner Mongolia. The town sits on open ground where farmland meets the grassland and low hills of the region, and its street plan is compact and straightforward. From above it appears as a neat block of streets surrounded by a great deal of space.
Ongniud Banner is associated with early archaeological finds of the Hongshan culture, including a well-known jade dragon discovered in the banner in the 1970s. The town itself is modest in size, a service centre for a wide rural district whose roads radiate outward across the plain toward villages and neighbouring banners.
A Wūdān map poster offers a simple composition with strong negative space: a regular core of streets, a few main roads leading away, and the open land around it drawn almost empty. It is quiet and graphic, and it holds personal meaning for families from Chifeng and the eastern grasslands.

Roads across the plain
Main routes leave the town in long, nearly straight lines toward villages and neighbouring banners, crossing open farmland and grassland on the way.
Open surrounding land
Wide empty areas around the town give the poster generous negative space, a visual echo of the scale of the Inner Mongolian landscape.

Pourquoi Wūdān
Une carte qui a du sens
For people from Ongniud Banner working in Chifeng, Beijing or further away, a map of Wūdān is a small anchor to home. For others, it is an elegant example of how much space surrounds a town in this part of Inner Mongolia.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can all be edited, so you might add a date, a family name or a short dedication. Pick from five styles, from Classic black & white to Sand, and choose a digital download or a printed poster with an optional wooden frame.
