Delta waterways
Straight canals and small rivers cut across the town, remnants of the Yangtze delta's drainage network that still divide the land into distinct parcels.

Yuepu Map Poster & Print
Yuepu is a town in Baoshan District in the northern part of Shanghai. It lies in the flat country near the mouth of the Yangtze River. The map is typical of Shanghai's outer districts, with broad arterial roads, large residential compounds and industrial sites. Straight canals and small waterways cross the land, a legacy of the delta's long history of farming and drainage.
Seen from above, Yuepu is organised in large blocks rather than fine-grained streets. Housing estates appear as rows of repeated buildings, and wide roads carry traffic toward central Shanghai and the riverside industrial zones. Remaining pockets of green and water break up the pattern, and they give the poster its texture.
A Yuepu map poster suits residents and former residents who know this corner of Shanghai well beyond the familiar skyline downtown. It is a portrait of the city's working edge. This is where many families live, commute and build their lives, a long way from the landmarks that usually represent Shanghai.

Arterial road network
