Town lakes
Several lakes surround the town and cut deep into it, and their irregular shorelines give the map its strongest, most recognisable shapes.

La carte
Złotów Map Poster & Print
Złotów is a town in the north of Greater Poland, in a landscape of glacial lakes and forests. Several lakes lie in and around the town, and on the map they shape everything. The streets of the centre fit into the land between the lakeshores, bending around the water, while the Głomia river threads through the area.
The town has a long history as a local centre on the old borderlands between Polish and German territory, and its streets reflect several eras: an older core, later residential blocks, and newer housing spreading out toward the forests. The lakes remain the constant, with the town built around them rather than across them.
A Złotów map poster works because of that contrast between water and street. The lakes read as bold solid shapes, the town's lanes as fine lines winding between them, and the surrounding forest and fields fill the rest of the frame. It is one of those towns whose map is easy to recognise at a glance.

Centre between waters
The central streets occupy the land between the lakes, bending to follow the shoreline and giving the old town a compact, hemmed-in form.
Głomia river
The Głomia river links the waters around town, and its narrow course adds a thin, flowing line that joins the lakes on the map.
