Zvishavane Map Poster & Print
Seen from above, Zvishavane is a compact town set in wide, lightly settled country in Masvingo Province. A central grid of commercial streets gives way to looser residential blocks, and the roads that leave town head out across open land. The contrast between the dense core and the thin lines of the countryside around it gives the map a clear, readable shape.
The town grew up around mining. For much of the twentieth century it was known as Shabani, after the asbestos mine that shaped its early layout, and today the Mimosa platinum operation nearby keeps it tied to the industry. On the map, the industrial areas and the rail corridor sit as distinct zones, separate from the neighbourhoods where people live.
A Zvishavane map poster holds that working character without decoration. Straight roads, clustered housing, the pale spaces of veld between them: in black and white, the pattern reads as a record of a town built for a purpose, then filled in over generations by the families who stayed. It suits someone who knows the place from the inside.

Mining landscape
Mine workings and industrial land sit apart from the residential streets, a reminder of the asbestos and platinum mining that gave the town its reason to exist.
Open surrounding veld
Beyond the last suburbs the map empties quickly into open country, crossed only by a few roads and tracks, which frames the town as a clear island of streets.
