Old town lanes
The historic core is made of short, irregular lanes that twist and meet at odd angles. At poster scale they form the densest and most detailed part of the map.

Jaitāran Map Poster & Print
Jaitāran is a town in the Pali district of Rajasthan, in the semi-arid country between Jodhpur and Ajmer. From above, its oldest part is a tight cluster of narrow lanes, packed so closely that on a map they almost merge into a single dark shape. Newer streets around it are wider and more regular. Beyond them, a few roads head out in straight lines across flat farmland.
Many older towns in Rajasthan share this layout: a dense centre built for shade and closeness, and a looser ring of later growth around it. In Jaitāran the contrast is especially clear because the surrounding land is so open, which leaves the town as a sharp, dark mark on a pale page.
A Jaitāran map poster shows that contrast in fine black lines. The busy centre gives the composition its weight, and the roads leaving town carry the eye toward the edges of the frame. It is a spare image of a place whose form is bound up with the dry plain around it.

Newer outer streets
Around the core, later streets are wider and more evenly spaced. The shift in texture shows where the old town ends and newer neighbourhoods begin.
Roads across the plain
Regional roads run out from town in long, straight lines over flat land. They link Jaitāran to nearby towns and frame it within the open landscape.
