Rondebosch is one of Cape Town's southern suburbs, on the eastern side of Table Mountain, directly below Devil's Peak. The land slopes down from the mountain toward the Cape Flats, and the suburb's streets follow that incline. Straighter roads run below, and more curving roads run higher up on the slope.
