Smyrna Map Poster & Print
Smyrna lies in Rutherford County, south-east of Nashville, along the I-24 corridor. From above, the town is a mix of patterns: a small, straight-lined historic centre by the railway, wide arterial roads and many curving residential subdivisions spreading across former farmland.
The town is home to a large Nissan vehicle assembly plant, one of the biggest car factories in North America, whose vast footprint is clearly visible on the map. Smyrna is also the home town of Sam Davis, the Confederate soldier whose family house is preserved as a museum.
A Smyrna map poster captures a modern American town: a railway spine, a regional airport with crossing runways and neighbourhood streets laid out in loops and cul-de-sacs. To the north, the arms of J. Percy Priest Lake reach toward the edge of the frame and add irregular shapes of water to the composition.

Subdivision curves
Much of the town is laid out in looping streets and cul-de-sacs, which create a flowing, almost ornamental texture across the print.
Lake to the north
The arms of J. Percy Priest Lake reach toward Smyrna's north side with long, irregular inlets that bring water into a mostly land-based map.
