Castle mound centre
The old citadel mound sits at the heart of town. The main streets arrange themselves around it, which makes it an easy reference point on the poster.

La mappa
Adıyaman Map Poster & Print
Adıyaman lies on a gently sloping plateau in southeastern Anatolia, a short distance north of the Euphrates. Its centre is built around a mound that once held a castle, and the main avenues run out from it across the plain in fairly straight lines. Beyond them, orchards and fields fill the ground until the land drops toward the great reservoir created by the Atatürk Dam.
The province is best known for Mount Nemrut, where colossal stone heads from the first-century BC kingdom of Commagene stand on the summit, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The city itself was long known as Hısn-ı Mansur. Large parts of it have been rebuilt since the 2023 earthquakes, so newer blocks now stand alongside older streets.
An Adıyaman map poster frames a city where the man-made grid is set against broad natural shapes: long valleys, ridges and the irregular shoreline of the reservoir to the south and east. Drawn in black and white, the clear outline of the settlement and the open land around it give the design an unusual stillness.

Atatürk Dam reservoir
The vast lake on the Euphrates lies south and east of the city. Its branching inlets form one of the most striking shorelines of any inland region.
Radiating avenues
Straight roads lead out of the centre toward neighbouring towns and the reservoir, dividing the plain into long wedges of streets and fields.
