La mappa
Ahrensburg Map Poster & Print
Ahrensburg lies just beyond Hamburg's northeastern edge in the Stormarn district, and U-Bahn trains run all the way out to it. Most of the town is a leafy commuter place of detached houses and curving residential streets. At its heart, though, sits a piece of deliberate planning that stands out clearly on any map.
Schloss Ahrensburg, a white Renaissance manor house from the late sixteenth century, stands in parkland on the town's southern side. In the eighteenth century the town centre was laid out in relation to the estate. Straight streets radiate in a goose-foot pattern, a layout that still gives the old centre a geometric order unusual for a town of its size.
An Ahrensburg map poster makes that plan easy to see. The radiating streets meet at the centre, the castle park forms a soft green-less void to the south, and the rail lines slice through the suburbs toward Hamburg. Around this core, the later neighbourhoods curl and loop, so the composition combines baroque symmetry with suburban informality.

Perché Ahrensburg
Una mappa che ha un significato
Ahrensburg is often home for people who work in Hamburg but prefer a smaller town with a castle at its centre. The map suits a new house, a family who has lived there for generations, or someone who grew up walking those radiating streets.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can be personalised, for a street name, a moving-in date or simply the town's name in your own words. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand.
