La mappa
Bashan Map Poster & Print
Bashan is a town in Jiangxi province in south-eastern China and the seat of Chongren County, in the prefecture of Fuzhou. Like many county towns in the region, it combines an older centre of closely set streets with newer districts of broader roads and larger blocks. These newer districts were built as the town expanded outward over recent decades.
The countryside in this part of Jiangxi is a landscape of low hills, rice fields, ponds and small rivers, and the town's outline reflects it. Building follows the flatter ground. The map therefore shows built-up areas pressing against open land, with water and green space breaking into the street pattern rather than one uniform grid.
A Bashan map poster is a portrait of a working Chinese county town rather than a famous destination. That is its value for anyone with roots here. The streets of the centre, the newer avenues and the edges where town meets field are all drawn exactly from map data and presented in a clean, minimal style.

Newer avenues
Recent districts are laid out with wider, straighter roads and larger blocks, clearly distinguishable from the older fabric around the centre.
Water and fields
Ponds, watercourses and farmland around the town appear as open areas, giving the map a soft edge and a sense of its rural setting.
