Peñaranda River gorge
Within Minalungao National Park the river narrows between limestone cliffs. On the map it appears as a tight, sinuous channel, clearly different from the straight irrigation lines of the plain.

La mappa
General Tinio Map Poster & Print
General Tinio sits on the eastern edge of Nueva Ecija, the province often called the rice granary of the Philippines. From above, the western part of the municipality is a patchwork of paddies and farm roads. Toward the east, the lines begin to bend as the terrain lifts into the foothills of the Sierra Madre, and the mapped streets give way to contour and forest.
The town was once known as Papaya and was later renamed after General Manuel Tinio, a revolutionary leader from Nueva Ecija. Within its boundaries lies Minalungao National Park, where the Peñaranda River runs through a narrow gorge between pale limestone walls. On a map it shows as a thin, winding line of water pressed between steep ground, set apart from the open farmland to the west.
A General Tinio map poster brings both halves of the municipality onto one sheet: the compact town centre with its short grid of streets, the roads running out across the fields, and the river cutting into the hills. In black and white, the change from plain to upland is easy to follow, because the dense, tidy strokes of the town thin out as the ground gets higher.

Plain meets foothills
The western fields and the eastern Sierra Madre slopes share a single frame, so the poster reads as a transition from ordered farmland to irregular, rising country.
Compact town centre
The poblacion forms a small cluster of streets around the main road, a dense knot of lines surrounded by the open space of paddies and farm tracks.
