Main through-roads
A few principal roads cross the settlement and connect it to neighbouring towns. They are the heaviest lines on the poster and set the orientation of the composition.

La mappa
Gnépasso Map Poster & Print
Gnépasso is in the Bas-Sassandra District of southwestern Ivory Coast, a short distance inland from the Atlantic. On the map it is a modest cluster of streets and compounds. A few main roads pass through, and narrower lanes branch out between the house plots, which gives the centre an irregular, lived-in pattern.
The region around it is one of the country's main cocoa-growing areas, and the landscape shows it. Beyond the settlement, the map thins to tracks and paths that lead into cultivated land and remaining forest. There is no rigid grid here. The street pattern follows use and terrain, so the map reads as something that grew gradually rather than something laid out on paper.
A Gnépasso map poster turns this organic plan into a clean graphic. The main roads form the backbone, the smaller lanes add fine detail, and the open space around the settlement frames it. For someone from Bas-Sassandra, it is a direct, unsentimental portrait of home, drawn in simple lines.

Irregular lanes
Between the main roads, narrow lanes and paths wind around house compounds. This free-form pattern gives the map a hand-drawn quality that a planned grid lacks.
Plantation country
Around Gnépasso, the map opens into farmland and forest crossed by thin tracks. It reflects a district where cocoa and other crops shape daily life.
