Large industrial campuses, including Intel's, appear as broad blocks with ring roads and parking areas, among the most distinctive forms on the Hillsboro map.

La mappa
Hillsboro Map Poster & Print
Hillsboro lies in the Tualatin Valley west of Portland, the county seat of Washington County. On a map it combines an older downtown grid with large modern areas: suburban neighbourhoods with curving streets, broad industrial campuses, and a small airport. At its edges, the city gives way abruptly to farmland, a result of Oregon's urban growth boundaries.
Hillsboro is a centre of the region known as the Silicon Forest. Intel operates large campuses here, among its biggest anywhere. The MAX Blue Line light rail reaches its western end in downtown Hillsboro, and Orenco Station, a planned transit-oriented neighbourhood along the line, is often cited as an example of new urbanism in the United States.
A Hillsboro map poster shows how a valley town grew into a high-tech city without losing its rural edge. The rail line runs east–west through it, the campuses form large, simple shapes, and field boundaries surround the urban area. The result is an unusually clear picture of planning, growth and landscape in the Pacific Northwest.

MAX Blue Line
The light-rail line runs from Portland through Orenco Station to downtown Hillsboro, drawing a continuous line that ties the city's neighbourhoods together.
Growth boundary
At the edge of the city, housing stops and farmland begins, a sharp transition that makes Oregon's land-use planning visible on the map.

Perché Hillsboro
Una mappa che ha un significato
Hillsboro is where many people have built careers and families, often after moving across the country or the world. A map of the city marks a new chapter, a first house or a long career, with the valley and the rail line at its centre.
Customise the title and subtitle with a neighbourhood, a team or a date, and keep the coordinates line. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Get six HD sizes for $9, or order a printed poster, optionally in a wooden frame.
