Mississippi riverfront
The river and its backwater channels form the city's eastern boundary. Its uneven, braided edge is a clear contrast to the planned streets further inland.

La mappa
Inver Grove Heights Map Poster & Print
Inver Grove Heights is a Dakota County suburb just south of Saint Paul, and its map doesn't look like the older grids to the north. Streets loop and curve over rolling, glacier-shaped ground. Cul-de-sacs branch off collector roads, and small lakes and ponds sit in the low places between neighbourhoods. The pattern is looser and more spread out than a typical city plan.
The Mississippi River marks the eastern edge of the city, with its backwaters and wooded bottomland forming a long, irregular border. Interstate 494 and US Highway 52 cut across the landscape, and their interchanges show as the most geometric shapes on the whole sheet. Open land, parks and golf courses leave wide gaps that give the city an airy look from above.
An Inver Grove Heights map poster suits that mix of water, curves and open space. Instead of a dense centre, the eye moves across a series of neighbourhoods, each with its own tangle of streets, linked by a few long roads. Printed large, the river edge and the pale spaces between developments stand out as clearly as the streets.

Highway interchanges
Interstate 494 and US 52 cross the city, and their ramps and cloverleaf curves make the sharpest, most engineered shapes on the map.
Lakes and loops
Small lakes and ponds sit among curving residential streets and cul-de-sacs, a pattern formed by the rolling post-glacial ground south of the Twin Cities.

Perché Inver Grove Heights
Una mappa che ha un significato
Suburbs rarely get posters, and that is part of the appeal. For someone who grew up here or bought a first house on one of these winding streets, the map records a place that mattered more than any skyline.
Add your own title, subtitle and coordinates line, perhaps a street name or a move-in date, and choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Download the HD files for $9 or order a printed poster, with or without a wooden frame.
