Winding hill roads
Roads curve and double back as they climb out of town, following the shape of the hills. They give the poster its looping, hand-drawn quality.

La mappa
Korgan Map Poster & Print
Korgan is an inland district town in Ordu Province, in Turkey's eastern Black Sea region, set among the green hills that rise behind the coast. The land here is folded and steep, and the town has grown to fit it: the streets follow contours and ridgelines rather than any straight plan.
On a map, Korgan's centre is a compact cluster of streets with roads leading out along the valleys and up the slopes to scattered villages. Stream valleys cut through the hills and give the map a branching, organic quality that is very different from the grid of a lowland town.
The surrounding province is one of the world's major hazelnut-growing areas, and the orchards covering these hillsides shape both the landscape and the rhythm of the year. A Korgan map poster turns that terrain into line: winding roads, a close-knit centre and the constant sense of slope.

Compact town centre
The core of Korgan is a small, dense knot of streets where the ground levels out enough for building.
Stream valleys
Narrow valleys run between the ridges, and the roads and settlement follow them outward from the centre toward surrounding villages.
