Tolo Harbour shore
The harbour lies directly west of the estate, forming a clean, straight coastline. On the poster the water takes up a large part of the frame and sets off the dense urban blocks.

La mappa
Lee On Map Poster & Print
Lee On is a public housing area in Ma On Shan, part of Hong Kong's Sha Tin District, on the eastern shore of Tolo Harbour. From above, the setting is clear. A planned new-town grid of residential towers sits on flat reclaimed land by the water, and the steep, green slopes of Ma On Shan country rise directly to the east.
The estate's footprint is typical of Hong Kong new towns: large residential blocks around podiums, open spaces and footbridges, with wide roads separating the neighbourhoods. A waterfront promenade runs along the harbour edge, and the rail line connecting Ma On Shan to Sha Tin and beyond follows the corridor inland from the shore.
A Lee On map poster shows a compact, modern waterfront neighbourhood with a strong coastline, orderly housing blocks and mountains behind. The Ma On Shan new town was developed from the 1980s onward, much of it on land reclaimed from Tolo Harbour. Its layout is a clear example of Hong Kong's planned communities.

Waterfront promenade
A continuous path runs along the harbour edge between the housing and the sea. On the map it appears as a fine line that follows the reclaimed shoreline.
Ma On Shan hills
Steep slopes rise to the east of the new town, with little development on them. The sharp boundary between buildings and hills gives the print a strong structure.

Perché Lee On
Una mappa che ha un significato
For people who grew up in Ma On Shan or have lived there, the map is a precise, personal view of home: towers, harbour and hills. It also makes a good gift for friends or family who have moved away from Hong Kong.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, in English or Chinese. Choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Noir gives the harbour and towers a dramatic night-time look.
