Right-angle roads
Long, straight roads cross the plain in a near-regular pattern. On the poster they create a strong grid that holds the whole composition together.

La mappa
Longgu Map Poster & Print
Longgu sits on the broad, flat plain of northwestern Jiangsu, close to the border with Shandong. From above, the landscape is almost entirely man-made geometry: straight roads, irrigation channels and field boundaries crossing at right angles, with villages scattered as small clusters between them. The town itself forms a denser node where several roads meet.
This is intensively farmed country, and the patterns on the map reflect long use of the land. There are no hills to interrupt the view, so the lines of transport and water carry the whole composition. Newer roads cut across the older, finer network of lanes, adding a second layer of structure.
A Longgu map poster has a quiet, graphic quality. The repeating rectangles of fields, the long straight roads and the compact town centre combine into something close to an abstract drawing. It suits people with ties to the area and anyone who likes maps that feel precise, balanced and uncluttered.

Farm channels
Narrow irrigation channels run beside roads and fields. They add a finer set of lines that gives the map depth and texture.
Town node
The built-up centre gathers where several routes meet. It forms a denser patch that draws the eye within the otherwise open, even landscape.
