Malmö Map Poster
Malmö faces the Öresund strait at the southwestern tip of Sweden, with Copenhagen visible across the water. On a map, the old town is held inside a ring of canals, while beyond it the city spreads out in a mix of nineteenth-century blocks, green parks and newer districts that stretch south along the shore.
Since 2000 the Öresund Bridge has linked Malmö to Denmark, a long line leaving the coast and crossing the strait toward Copenhagen. In the Western Harbour, a former shipyard area turned into housing, the twisting Turning Torso tower rises above the waterfront, visible from far across the flat landscape.
A Malmö map poster shows the geometry of the centre around Stortorget and the canals, the green band of Slottsparken and Kungsparken beside Malmöhus Castle, and the long, straight shoreline of Ribersborg beach. It is a compact, readable city, and one that works especially well in clean black and white.
