La mappa
Midwest City Map Poster & Print
Midwest City stands just east of Oklahoma City, and from above it is a textbook example of the American mile grid. Section-line roads divide the land into large squares, and within them curving residential streets and cul-de-sacs fill the blocks. Interstate 40 crosses the town from west to east, and Tinker Air Force Base spreads as a broad, open expanse of runways and hangars to the south.
The city was built in the 1940s as a planned community for workers at the new air depot that became Tinker, with developer W. P. Bill Atkinson behind much of the early layout. That origin still shows in the orderly neighbourhoods of modest houses, the commercial strips along the arterials and the way town and base sit side by side.
A Midwest City map poster makes the most of this clarity. The grid gives a strong frame, the looping streets inside each square add softness, and the long runways of the base introduce a set of bold straight lines. It is a map that works well at large sizes, where the detail of each neighbourhood can be read.

Perché Midwest City
Una mappa che ha un significato
Many people know Midwest City through the base: service members, civilian workers and their families who lived here for a posting or a career. A map of the town is a clean, understated way to remember that chapter, whether it lasted two years or twenty.
Set a custom title and subtitle, perhaps a unit, a street name or the years you lived here, and adjust the coordinates line. Choose from five styles, Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand, as a $9 download or a framed print.
