La mappa
Montgomery Village Map Poster & Print
Montgomery Village is a planned community in Montgomery County, Maryland, developed from the 1960s just north of Gaithersburg. From above, it looks nothing like an old town grid. Streets curve and branch, and cul-de-sacs curl off the main roads like leaves off a stem. Wooded stream valleys and paths thread between the neighbourhoods, so the green space runs through the whole community.
Two man-made lakes anchor the map. Lake Whetstone is the larger, a softly irregular shape at the heart of the village, and the smaller Lake Marion adds a second patch of water. The main parkways sweep around the residential clusters and connect them to the nearby I-270 corridor, which sets a straight, heavy line against all the curves.
A Montgomery Village map poster suits people who like the particular logic of mid-century American planning: every loop and dead end there by design, every neighbourhood tucked around a patch of green. Printed in monochrome, the layout turns almost organic, like a leaf skeleton or a river delta. Only the lakes and the highway hint that it was drawn with a ruler at all.

Cul-de-sac clusters
Short dead-end streets branch off curving collector roads, giving each neighbourhood a distinctive finger-like shape that repeats across the map.
Stream valley greenways
Wooded strips along the small creeks cut between the housing areas, leaving soft, winding channels of open space through the plan.
