Moro lies in Naushahro Feroze District in central Sindh, on the flat alluvial plain east of the Indus. The land here is farmed intensively, and the town serves as a trading point for the surrounding agricultural area. On a map, its shape is defined less by natural features than by the roads and canals that cross the plain around it.
The built-up area is compact, with a dense centre of narrow streets and markets giving way to looser residential blocks toward the edges.
