Ridge-top roads
Main roads follow the crests of the hills and loop around the township, giving the map long, sweeping curves instead of straight lines.

La mappa
Mpumalanga Map Poster & Print
Mpumalanga is a large township in KwaZulu-Natal, inland from Durban near Hammarsdale. It lies close to the N3 highway that links the coast with Pietermaritzburg. It should not be confused with the province of the same name in the north-east of the country. The township sits on steep, rolling ground, and that landscape decides the shape of almost every street.
From above, the roads do not form a grid. They wind along ridgelines and drop into valleys, dividing the township into sections separated by streams and slopes too steep to build on. Houses cluster tightly along the roads, so the map shows bands of dense texture broken by curving green gaps.
Mpumalanga was established during the apartheid era as a township for Black residents working in the area's industries, and it grew into a large, close-knit community. A Mpumalanga map poster is a portrait of the place on its own terms: the hills, the roads that connect its sections, and the neighbourhood where someone grew up.

Valley gaps
Steep slopes and stream valleys between the sections stay largely unbuilt. These open channels split the streets into separate areas that are easy to tell apart.
Close to the N3
The national highway between Durban and Pietermaritzburg passes nearby. It is a strong, straight line at the edge of the map that ties the township to the wider region.

Perché Mpumalanga
Una mappa che ha un significato
Townships rarely appear on wall art, yet they are where many people's most important memories are rooted. A map of Mpumalanga can mark a family home, the streets of a childhood, or the place you left when you moved to the city.
You can set the title, add a subtitle with a section name or a year, and adjust the coordinates line. Choose one of five styles, Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, as HD files or a print.
