Lake Naivasha
The lake's wide, rounded outline fills much of the map, its shoreline softened by inlets and swampy fringes that shift subtly with changing water levels.

La mappa
Naivasha Map Poster & Print
Naivasha sits on the floor of Kenya's Great Rift Valley, north-west of Nairobi, beside the lake that shares its name. Lake Naivasha is one of the few freshwater lakes in the Rift, and its broad, rounded outline dominates any map of the area. The town itself lies near the north-eastern shore, along the main highway between Nairobi and Nakuru.
Around the lake the land is divided into large plots, many of them greenhouse flower farms that make the area one of Kenya's main sources of cut roses for export. Small inlets, papyrus fringes and the curved shape of Crescent Island break up the shoreline, while to the south-east the volcanic cone of Mount Longonot rises above the valley.
Hell's Gate National Park, with its cliffs and gorge, lies just south of the lake and draws cyclists and walkers. A Naivasha map poster frames the town between water and volcanic landscape, with the lake as a large, calm shape at its heart and roads leading out toward the park, the farms and the highway.

Crescent Island
A curved peninsula on the eastern shore, formed by the rim of an old volcanic crater, is one of the most recognisable outlines in the lake.
Nairobi–Nakuru highway
The main road runs along the valley past the town, a long straight line cutting across farmland and linking Naivasha to both cities.

Perché Naivasha
Una mappa che ha un significato
Naivasha is a place of weekends away, school trips, safari starts and working lives on the farms. A map of the lake and town holds all of that, and the large open water makes for a quiet, balanced composition.
Set a title, add a subtitle such as a trip date or a family name, and edit the coordinates line if you wish. Choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand, as digital files or a printed poster with an optional frame.
