Stanitsa grid
Long, straight streets cross at right angles and enclose large blocks with gardens. The layout is classic Cossack settlement planning and fills most of the map.

La mappa
Novotitarovskaya Map Poster & Print
Novotitarovskaya lies in the Dinskoy District of Krasnodar Krai, a short way north of the city of Krasnodar. From above, it is a textbook Kuban stanitsa: a large, regular grid of long, straight streets with deep household plots between them. Around it the land is flat and farmed, divided into huge rectangular fields.
The settlement was founded by Black Sea Cossacks, who organised the Kuban into stanitsas as they settled the region. It is one of the more populous stanitsas in the krai. Farming remains central to the local economy, and the proximity of Krasnodar makes it part of the regional capital's wider area.
A Novotitarovskaya map poster is striking in its regularity. The streets run in parallel lines for long distances, the blocks are large and even, and the fields beyond continue the same geometry. In monochrome it becomes an almost abstract pattern that tells the story of how the steppe was settled.

Steppe fields
Beyond the last houses the map opens into vast rectangular fields. They echo the grid of the stanitsa on a much larger scale.
Road to Krasnodar
Roads lead south toward Krasnodar and connect the stanitsa to the regional capital. They cut clear lines through the surrounding farmland.
