La mappa
Skellefteå Map Poster & Print
Skellefteå lies in Västerbotten in northern Sweden, along the Skellefte River a short way inland from the Gulf of Bothnia. From above, the river is the main feature. It crosses the town in broad bends, and the central grid, the parks and the residential areas are all arranged on its banks.
The town has several well-known sights. Lejonströmsbron is a long wooden bridge from the eighteenth century. Bonnstan is a church town of small wooden cottages near the old church. In recent years Skellefteå has also built Sara Kulturhus, one of the world's tallest buildings made largely of timber.
A Skellefteå map poster shows a tidy town grid by the water, with bridges crossing and forest closing in beyond the suburbs. In the northern landscape, the river, the lakes and the woods take up as much of the frame as the streets.

Bonnstan church town
Rows of small wooden cottages near the old church form a tightly packed quarter, clearly different from the surrounding streets.
Forest on all sides
Beyond the residential areas, coniferous forest and scattered lakes cover the land, which makes the town look compact and clearly defined.

Perché Skellefteå
Una mappa che ha un significato
Skellefteå means different things to different people: a northern hometown, a place of new industry, or a winter spent near the Arctic Circle. A river-centred map suits any of them and looks calm on a Scandinavian wall.
Change the title, subtitle and coordinates line to fit your story. Noir works well for long northern nights and Paper for a lighter room. Classic black & white, Blueprint and Sand are also available.
