La mappa
Suzun Map Poster & Print
Suzun is a settlement in the south of Novosibirsk Oblast, on the Suzun river not far from where it joins the Ob. From above, it has the open, spacious layout of a Siberian rural centre: long, broad streets of wooden houses and garden plots, set out in a loose grid on low ground beside the river.
The place has an unusual past. In the eighteenth century, a copper smelter was built here, and the Suzun mint struck coins, including the special Siberian coinage issued for use east of the Urals. Some of the old works stood by a dammed pond on the river, which remains visible on the map today.
A Suzun map poster captures that combination of rural calm and industrial history. It shows the regular streets, the river and its pond, and the forest and farmland of the Ob region spreading around the village, in clear black and white.

Broad rural grid
Long, wide streets with large garden plots give the village a spacious, open structure typical of Siberian settlements.
Mint heritage
In the eighteenth century, the local mint produced Siberian coinage from copper smelted here. It is a story worth adding in a subtitle.
