La mappa
Taixing Map Poster & Print
Taixing is a county-level city in Jiangsu province, administered by Taizhou, on the northern bank of the Yangtze River where it widens toward its estuary. The land here is low and flat, part of the river's alluvial plain. Canals and drainage channels run across it in every direction, dividing the countryside into long, narrow fields.
From above, the urban area is compact, with an older centre marked by narrow streets and waterways, surrounded by newer districts built on wide straight avenues. Toward the Yangtze the map changes character. The riverside is lined with industrial zones, port facilities and embankments that hold back one of the largest rivers in the world.
Taixing is widely known for its ginkgo trees and has long been associated with ginkgo cultivation in China. A Taixing map poster brings together the canal lines, the modern road grid and the broad Yangtze shoreline. The result is a layered composition of water and land typical of the lower Yangtze region.

Canals and irrigation channels run through the town and the surrounding farmland, adding fine parallel lines that give the plain its distinctive texture.
Old and new districts
Narrower streets in the older centre sit beside newer districts with wide, straight avenues, creating a visible contrast in scale across the city.

Perché Taixing
Una mappa che ha un significato
For people from Taixing living in Shanghai, Nanjing or abroad, a map of its canals and streets is an easy way to keep the hometown close. The Yangtze edge gives the composition a calm, horizontal weight that suits many rooms.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, including Chinese characters. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Blueprint highlights the canals, and Paper gives a softer, more traditional feel.
