Church at the centre
The basilica stands at the heart of the village, and the older streets gather around it. It is the natural focal point of the map.

La mappa
Tubbergen Map Poster & Print
Tubbergen is a municipality in the Twente region of Overijssel, in the east of the Netherlands close to the German border. The main village has a strong Catholic tradition, visible in the Basilica of Saint Pancras at its centre, and the municipality includes several smaller villages spread across the countryside.
The map shows a typical Twente landscape. The village centre is a compact knot of streets around the church, with residential areas built outward from it. Beyond them lies a small-scale pattern of fields framed by wooded banks and hedgerows, with farm lanes winding between scattered farmsteads.
A Tubbergen map poster brings out the fine grain of this countryside. It is very different from the straight polders of the western Netherlands: here the roads curve, the plots are irregular, and the village sits within a dense network of small lanes that gives the composition depth.
